Student who raped his girlfriend to death, sentenced to death by hanging

A High Court sitting in Akure, Ondo state has sentenced to death the killer boyfriend Chukwudi Onweniwe of an HND student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, Nifemi Adeyeoye to death by hanging. Chukwudi Onweniwe was dragged before the court in May 22 2017 on a four count charge of action endangering life, kidnapping and abduction, rape and murder. . According to the Prosecutor, Jumoke Ogunjebi said the accused person abducted the deceased and took her “to a farm near Alayere, Ogbese, raped her and then snuffed life out of her by choking and strangulating her to death. The police prosecutor, Inspector John Aderibigbe said that one of the motorcyclists who testified in the case reported the suspicious movement of the accused person and the deceased at the police station.  Aderibigbe said that the case was later transferred to Special Anti Cultism Squad in Akure. The famous musician and actor, Jamie Foxx was adopted at a very tender age. His own form of adoption might be different because he was adopted by his mother's adoptive parents, Esther Marie and Mark Talley. Till date, it is reported that Jamie Foxx has had little contact with his birth parents, who were not part of his upbringing.

Joke Silva is the latest celebrity to reveal that she was adopted. The gist which is still fresh in air revealed by the veteran Nollywood actress at a conference recently held in Lagos state. She revealed that she was not the biological child of Chief E.A Silva who was the then Babajiro of Lagos and his late wife, Dr Abimbola Silva, reputed to be Nigeria’s first female medical doctor.


“But I got to know years later when I wanted to travel and was looking for my passport where my mum kept it. Since she was not around, I opened the box in her absence and I saw my adoption papers. I never discussed it with my mum because I felt it was something that would hurt her, that was why, it was kept secret from me," she revealed.

Nicole Richie was born in BerkeleyCalifornia. Her biological father, Peter Michael Escovedo, while biological mother is Karen Moss. When she was three years old, her biological parents agreed to let her move in with music legend, Lionel Richie because they could not afford to provide for. Initially, Lionel Richie became her guardian. She was legally adopted by Lionel Richie and his wife when she turned nine.

4. Faith Hill

The popular country music star was also raised by adopted parents. Faith Hill was born in RidgelandMississippi, north of Jackson, Mississippi.  She was raised in the nearby town of Star, 20 miles outside of Jackson. Her adoptive parents, Edna and Ted Perry, who adopted her as an infant and raised her with their two biological sons in a devout Christian environment.

5. Jack Nicholson

Jack Nicholson was adopted by his maternal grandmother as an infant. However, he grew up believing she was his mother. His actual biological mother, who gave birth to him as a teenager, was his sister. He did not find out the truth until he was 37 years old and both his mother and grandmother were already deceased.
