Student who raped his girlfriend to death, sentenced to death by hanging

A High Court sitting in Akure, Ondo state has sentenced to death the killer boyfriend Chukwudi Onweniwe of an HND student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, Nifemi Adeyeoye to death by hanging. Chukwudi Onweniwe was dragged before the court in May 22 2017 on a four count charge of action endangering life, kidnapping and abduction, rape and murder. . According to the Prosecutor, Jumoke Ogunjebi said the accused person abducted the deceased and took her “to a farm near Alayere, Ogbese, raped her and then snuffed life out of her by choking and strangulating her to death. The police prosecutor, Inspector John Aderibigbe said that one of the motorcyclists who testified in the case reported the suspicious movement of the accused person and the deceased at the police station.  Aderibigbe said that the case was later transferred to Special Anti Cultism Squad in Akure. National Youth Games: To Start at "UNILORIN"

Aniedi Dickson, Director of Sports, Akwa Ibom Sports Council, said on Tuesday that the forthcoming National Youth Games (NYG) was the much-needed platform to revitalize the country’s sports. Speaking with our reporter in a telephone interview yesterday Dickson said that he expect the authorities to place talents that would be discovered from the competition in special training camps.  “The National Sports Commission (NSC) should ensure that talents discovered at the Games are natured to become elite athletes.“We should avoid a situation where they willbe forgotten immediately after the competition, because in the youths lies the continuity of sports in the country”, he said. The director confirmed that Akwa Ibom waspreparing intensively for the fiesta and was not under any pressure because they are not new to such competitions.  “We are used to competitions of this nature, especially from our experience from our constant participation at the National SportsFestivals (NSF).However our coaches and sports officers are on ground preparing athletes for the competition and we expect to show cash a good team of young and talented athletes Dickson added.

A video was sent to us showing a driver harassing a student who was struggling to get on the bus, thus causing the student to act out, the student was jacked up and had his cloth torn by the bus driver causing other male students to stir up trouble as they were threatening to beat up the driver, but the stubborn driver started ranting that he was going to beat up everyone of them, then immediately struggle between the driver and another student who in return was also threatening the driver, things became ugly fast as people started trying to separate them from fighting as one of the student present started pulling the driver away from the angry students in order for them to calm down, following an old woman who also came to beg to students to leave the driver alone! #CampusVibe24 Full Video ⬇⬇⬇⬇ Follow Campusvibe24 ff more updates
